Anti-Acne Bestsellers

Acne is one of the most violent and pitiless enemies of the average present-day teenager. A lesser percentage of adults, however, is also involved. Plenty of various acne treatment solutions were made available to the public since the invention and spread of pharmaceuticals… and the list keeps growing longer e-v-e-r-y day. And, yes, they range from cheaper and relatively inexpensive products to unreasonably overpriced ones.

Now, to fish out a few toppers we’d need some sort of quality and efficacy criteria to base our judgment on, right? First off, each proper acne treatment scheme should be inside-out oriented, i.e., it should first target the illness on the level of inner body processes and only then it’s outer, on-the-surface manifestation. So never mind the name on the package and only pay attention to the “Ingredients” part… for only some of them have proven to be effective in curing acne while the others did nothing but burden the body with unnecessary chemicals and substances. Not mentioning the potential side effects and health risks such vain “medication-stuffing” may entail. You have the final say when it comes to deciding what to use to treat your acne but make sure you have a detailed overview of the product you’re opting for.

Benzoyl peroxide, for instance, can be found in the vast majority of acne solutions. However, it’s been surrounded with some controversy in the medical circles lately… And having been related to skin cancer in eventually ended up on the FDA “shady” list… Meaning it’s been approved for human use but its safety/unsafety status is still unsure and yet to be determined. Now, let’s get to a few popular anti-acne brand names: ProActiv, Accutane and Retin-A. The very fact that these 3 were chosen and mentioned here does not guarantee they will work for everyone… only that they’ve proven their efficacy in the majority of treatment cases.

ProActiv is a non-prescription, 3-step acne fighting medication system for external use only! It does, however, contain prescription-requiring Benzoyl peroxide.

Accutane is an oral prescription drug that performs its action through inner body processes. It’s extremely effective when used in combination with a topical solution. Unfortunately, there are a couple of annoying side effects usually associated with using Accutane pills… such as occasional nosebleeds, chapped lips, eye irritation, dry skin, joint and muscle pain, hair thinning, skin rash, intestinal problems, urinary problems, headaches, and vision problems. Warning! Accutane should never! be prescribed for pregnant and breast-feeding women.

And the last, but not the least effective is Retin-A – it has very few minor side effects and is available in both OTC (over-the-counter) and prescription forms.

If you decide to use any of the 3 ‘characters’ described here above – start with ProActiv. If it doesn’t work – proceed to Retin-A. Accutane should only be used as an extreme measure. As for the price you’ll have to pay – it’s quite expensive but definitely worth it. ProActiv, Retin-A and Accutane success rates speak for themselves… Besides, there is absolutely no point in wasting money on inexpensive and ineffective cheaper treatments.

And remember! To get rid of acne once and for all – you’ll need a good dermatologist, good hygiene and skin-cleansing habits as well as a proper diet.

  2. I am a twelve year old girl. I get acne mostly on my forehead (mainly between my eyebrows), near my nose and on my chin. My nose is really oily too, i dont know why! I have used nutregena oil-free acne wash, nutregena rapid clear, and clearasil daily face wash, but all of them either did nothing, or made my acne worse, or dried out my skin! Right now all i am doing is washing my face with plain soap daily. It helps somewhat. My mom wotn let me use any zit cream or anything, only face washes, because she says the other stuff will dry out my skin. What is some things i can do to get rid of my oily skin and acne without drying out my skin?than my friend susan suggest me to Acnezine i found on net in few day’s usage i get in better results day by day thanks susan and thanks to Acnezine.
